We are the Myers Family of Lenox Iowa and we care about pedal pulling in the midwest. We want a professional look on the fastest growing children's event in the midwest. Every youngster should have the opportunity to advance to state by following the correct rules on quality equipment.
Ken Myers 25 years in Education and is currently the Secondary Principal at Lenox IA Schools. Willo his partner in business and life, works with Home Health Care and Hospice at Creston Greater Regional Hospital. Kendra is a retired National Qualifier and Kayla is a two time National placer with the 2008 National Championship to her credit.
July of 2005 on July 15th we attended our first Pedal Pull in Canistota SD. Kayla and another girl, Miranda Painter of Montrose SD, had a pull off and a great rivalry started. This also started our family on a path to the point we now enjoy.
Our first Season of Pulling under our belt we have been honored by receiving an invitation to be one of the two pullers for 2009 National Pedal Pull to start our second. We are hugely excited to be involved with building the Pedal Pulling strength of Missouri. We are excited that we have already brought in a new puller and may increase the number of pulls for the state in this first year. We will run the Missouri State Pedal Pull in Columbia in September.
Join us in honoring what is best in our State's Children as they learn about winning and losing. The enjoyment of honest, fair, and consistent competition. Our commitment is to building character and bringing together families in the interest of children.
Thank you; Ken, Willo, Kendra and Kayla; The Myers

Does it take special equipment to be sanctioned?
A: There are things that should go with sanctioning. First and fore most the operator should follow the basic rules for all states, commmonly known as the national rules.
In particular, they should follow the part in the rules about the conduct of the youngster on the tractor. A fair competition implies that every child has exactly the same opportunity. The equipment may vary widely, but the understanding is that there are tractors that fit the size of each age range of child involved and have proper gearing to fit the age group. Most often some say that they are sanction quality, yet they don't have tractors big enough for the 7-12 groups. If a puller is running small tractors then they should be honest and advertise for just a 4-7 or 8 pull and charge half price. Any one not following the state and national rules should not be sanctioned it is unfair to the kids and families.
Poor quality breeds poor sportsmanship and poor character. Quality and consistency breed the trust that melts poor sportsmanship.
It is not the destination, but the journey that provides the person with the character we admire
A Pedal Tractor Pull is an event that features Children pedaling a modified tractor pulling a weight transfer sled down a track. The child pulling this sled the farthest is the winner.

These are examples of the type and amount of equipment a sanctioned puller should bring.

Quality Equipment and personal commitment can make you a Champion.
